TEACHER BIOS

Sherry Hines
Sherry began studying tap, ballet and acrobatics at the age of six. At age 15, she begain dancing professionally with various New York dance companies and toured the U.S. and Canada. Upon moving to California in 1986, she began teaching tap dancing at four different locations in Marin County and choreographed musicals for the Ross Valley Players, Novato Community Players and Redwood Players including Cabaret, 42nd Street, and Crazy For You. She opened her Dance With Sherry Studio in 1996 and her students have won top prizes in various talent shows and dance competitions such as Dance Masters of California, the Cloverdale Citrus Festival, Sonoma-Marin County Fair and won Best in Show at the Marin County Fair. Her unique choreography has received rave reviews from all who have viewed her work. |

Miles Kenedy
B-BOYING (BREAKDANCING) Miles has been b-boying for six years and hip hop dancing for eight years. He has performed all over Northern California and currently is a member of the San Francisco-based hip hop dance troop Khamai. Miles teaches beginning and intermediate levels of b-boying at Dance With Sherry Studio. |

Amanda Oliva
Amanda has been dancing since the tender age of three. After studyng ballet for eleven years at the Petaluma City Ballet, she developed a love for hip hop and has danced with and taught for such notable hip hop companies as Fierce Dance Co. and Havoc Dance Company. Amanda is also an avid tap dancer and performs around Marin with Dance with Sherry's advanced adult tap team. 2008 will see Amanda performing in The Little Gems annual breast cancer benefit. Amanda began her tap training six years ago at Footloose Dance Center in Petaluma. Throughout her career, Amanda has studied and taught many other dances including jazz, ballroom, modern and more. Dance with Sherry is proud to have Amanda at our studio teaching hip hop classes of all ages.

Amy Dorie
Amy grew up in Canada where she studied for many years at Elite Dance Academy. Since moving to the bay area in 2004, Amy has been active performing and studying all forms of dance including tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, Latin and ballroom. She is also involved in theatre - a passion she has cultivated for the past 13 years. Amy performs in theatre in addition to being a costumer. She has worked on shows such as Guys and Dolls, Crazy for You, and Oklahoma. Because of her varied training, Amy always brings something unexpected to class! When not dancing, Amy is working towards her degree in design at San Francisco State University.
